Garden consultations & design

Looking for some fresh ideas and inspiration for your garden? Not sure which plants to choose or feeling unhappy with your garden layout? A garden consultation is a great place to start.

What is a garden consultation?

A garden consultation is an in-depth analysis of your garden. I will usually visit your garden in person to discuss all the things you need help with. This can include:

  • Assessing what works and what doesn’t work, and why
  • Helping you choose the right sorts of plants that will thrive in your conditions, whether that’s in heavy clay soils, shade or hot, dry soils
  • Introducing more interest, colour and structure throughout the year
  • Finding ways to support wildlife in the garden
  • Dealing with common problems like weeds, diseases, and tricky areas
  • A garden consultation can also be the first step for a planting plan or garden redesign

After the consultation, I provide a report with lots of ideas, advice and planting possibilities. Alternatively, we can proceed straight to a planting plan or garden design.

How much does a garden consultation cost?

I charge €150 +VAT for an hour’s consultation including a report. Travel costs are free of charge within 15km of Watermael Boitsfort, €50 cents/km beyond that.

Planting plans

A planting plan using design software

As a garden designer, I can help you choose the right plants for your garden, helping you to select from the huge choice available, and avoid costly mistakes! My planting plans are:

  • Adapted to your garden’s conditions
  • In tune with the style you like: contemporary, naturalistic, cottage garden etc.
  • Tailored to a colour theme that works for you
  • Wildlife friendly and built on sustainable gardening practice
  • Suited to your lifestyle and situation: for example low-maintenance, child-friendly, pet-friendly etc.

Planting plans start at €290 +VAT for a 10m2 border. That includes surveying and measuring up, sketches and/or a design software generated plan, plant profiles with photos and a full maintenance schedule to help you keep things looking good.

I can also source good quality plants through my suppliers and help you plant the area up. The cost for these services will vary from project to project, and I can provide an estimate once the project is confirmed.
